The context.
A cross-border payment ecosystem needs more than a working transfer screen. It needs dependable coordination between customers, payment gateways, payout partners, compliance teams, finance, and day-to-day operations. My role connects those parts through architecture, engineering leadership, and hands-on production work.
My contribution.
- Own engineering strategy, platform architecture, technical roadmap, delivery governance, and production reliability across C2C, B2C, B2B, and administrative platforms.
- Work across 10+ pay-in gateway/API/SDK integrations and 50+ payout partner APIs, covering authentication, onboarding, transaction submission, status callbacks, and operational issue resolution.
- Strengthen transaction lifecycle control with traceable status histories, webhook handling, retry controls, exception management, reconciliation workflows, and payout recovery.
- Build and improve ID verification, fraud detection support, transaction monitoring, access controls, API protection, and audit trails.
- Develop Python-based forecasting with Prophet, XGBoost, and LightGBM, alongside BigQuery-backed analytics and operational reporting.
- Lead cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, release controls, database performance work, monitoring, and incident response while partnering with product, finance, compliance, and operations.
The result.
- Supported more than $1B in cross-border payment volume.
- Scaled the engineering function from 5 to 20 members.
- Connected platform delivery with the operational needs of a growing payment ecosystem.
A payment is only complete when the platform can explain its state, its money movement, and the evidence behind both.
