The context.
A customer wallet balance and the actual position at a bank or payout partner describe different parts of the same financial system. This work separates those positions and makes credits, debits, funding, payouts, and revenue calculations explainable through a ledger and supporting reports. Details here describe architecture and test-environment work, rather than a production-launch claim.
My contribution.
- Design double-entry posting flows for wallet funding, customer debits, payout execution, and payout-partner prefunding.
- Separate customer liabilities from bank, clearing, and partner liquidity positions across currencies.
- Define idempotent posting, atomic database transactions, currency validation, reversal controls, and append-only financial records.
- Model reconciliation against provider statements and operational follow-up for unresolved differences.
- Design FX and revenue calculations with CAD reporting, explicit rate references, fixed-precision amounts, and traceable cost components.
- Create administrative views for ledger balances, revenue detail, and currency-pool monitoring.
The result.
- A concrete implementation model linking money movement, ledger postings, reconciliation, and revenue reporting.
- Schema, sample-data, and interface designs for test-environment implementation.
A dashboard total should be the end of an explainable accounting trail, not the start of a guessing exercise.
